Delicious dishes and a healthy distance!

The food was really delicious, the prices okay too. Unfortunately the crepes batter was still almost raw and not fully baked. However, one major shortcoming was the service: we had to wait a long time before we even got the menu cards, until we could then order and clearing it took a long time. We had to request the menu for dessert ourselves and wait another half an hour before serving. If you allow enough time and patience, you can spend very nice evenings here.

After much deliberation, I decided to write this recession after all. The Julien is a restaurant with a French ambience, this is thoroughly successful. Viewed regionally, the prices are in the upper mid-range. I ordered the 3-course menu for myself, which consisted of salad, entrecôte and a crêpes with ice cream. Apart from the main course, the food was very tasty and recommended. Unfortunately, my main course consisted mostly of fat, even though I asked for it when ordering, as I am very sensitive to fat. In response to my complaint, I was only informed that there was a complaint in the kitchen. After a long back and forth, I was offered an espresso as compensation, which I refused. Only when I was told that I would rate the visit online accordingly was the menu price waived by the boss. The behavior of the waiter didn't work after that, he was only busy disappearing from our table quickly and without any question, friendliness nil. It's a shame that you are so overly sensitive to errors that are definitely not the fault of the customer.

Great ambience. Price performance of the food is great. Very nice drinks and food offer. Plated dishes are beautifully arranged and served. Unfortunately the service was on August 22nd. Overtaxed in the evening and therefore the waiting times are quite long ....

I was there for my birthday party in the courtyard. A cozy place, but unfortunately extremely uncomfortable chairs / bench. Had the menu, starter (arabic vegetable soup) and dessert (profiterole with ice cream and vanilla cream) were excellent. The main course (sea bass with vegetables - almost raw - and potatoes) was definitely expandable, too bland. I like it much better at home, cooked by my husband. The homemade lemonade was again very successful in terms of appearance and taste. So a total of 3 stars.

Unfortunately, we were there with the whole family to celebrate our birthday. It started well with the order recording, until the food was there it took a while, but after that it was only worse. We would have to ask the waiter to clear away, for 1 hour no one asked us whether we wanted to drink something or order dessert. We had to ask for it again to get the card again. Everyone was already annoyed including service. Much too crowded because there was too little staff, but for the guests at the large covered table they had paid complete attention. Apparently the guests were 1 class, and we were only 2 class. I don't need that. The store is no longer an option for me.

Very good and pleasant atmosphere. Service professional and friendly right from the start. Delicious dishes prepared with love. I can only recommend.

This was so good, the lamb was amazing and so tender. Everything was cooked perfectly. We also had the chocolate mousse and its was very rich and smooth. Highly recommend this place and we will be back!! Amazing chef and staff!!

Friends took here and we got a table in the garden. It is the best steak I have had in the area. They cooked it perfectly. The side au gratin potatoes where tasty, soft Nd yet with the crispy top. Willing go here again whenever . The other two dishes are my friends and they loved theirs.

It's kind of a cliche for a French restaurant to say that the food is excellent, but the service is lacking - right? Well, that's the situation that I find here. The food is some of the best I've had in Ktown: high quality ingredients, well made, well presented. But the service can be a little off - it's a tad pretentious, and can make you feel like you're bothering the wait staff. Between the five star food and the three star service, I'll settle on four stars. Oh - I *will* unhesitatingly recommend the Sunday brunch, which is pricey but fantastic.

ABSOLUTELY one of the best tasting food in Europe! The bacon salad had me twisting my toes & the lamb with sunflower seed tasted like sunshine in my mouth!

Blackened Salmon had no flavor ...potato wedges tasted old...only French restaurant in the area though. Salmon was tender and perfect texture. Bitter lemon is not a local brand. They serve Moet for pricier dining or special occasions.

Such a nice atmosphere. Families, couples, friends, and everyone was making noise, but it still felt very intimate. The soups as starters were amazing and the main courses were delicious. Come with an appetite, because the desserts are very tasty.

Highly Recommended. Always a pleasure no matter what you order. Service is good. The chefs are top. Go there since 2005 and the high quality is still excellent ... A Michelin star would be more than earned. Keep it up ... Creamy tomato soup is a dream. I took a picture, but unfortunately the soup was half empty. More photos next time

Excellent food reasonably priced and great service.

We had heard goods things about Julien, so decided to try it for a special occassion, but were very disappointed in both the service and the food. I have never left a poor review for a restaurant. We were not given a wine menu, and when I asked, I was told because it was in german. A Bordeaux is a Bordeaux in French, German or English?! The starter was ok, the spinach crepe, i ate it all, and it was nice, but nothing to rave about, the main, I had the scotch filet, it was pretty bad, the string was still attached, it was tough and chewy, and not well seasoned, the gratin was luke warm and also not well seasoned. I had to request cutlery, and was not given a steak knife, and to add insult, when we paid, we were advised that the tip is not included?! I might speak English, but I am not American and a tip is optional and only for exceptional service.

We ordered chateaubriand but was not expecting raw meat. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked and they would not take it back to cook it a little more. Gross... needless to say a waist of 64 euros ☹️ Never again...

This place is amazing. Great food, nice atmosphere reasonable prices. The only thing they need to work on is customer service. Was skipped over a dozen times for a variety of things: drinks, entrees, hors d'oeuvres, the bill, and it just got aggravating. Not enough to give it 4 stars though. :)

A nice fine dining restaurant with an indoor and outdoor setting. They have a good selection of both food and wine, and often have specials depending on the day. Employees were very helpful and attentive and do not pester you as you enjoy your time and meal. I had a beautiful time in the hidden romantic sanctuary in the nook of Kaiserslautern.

Great restaurant! Don't dismiss the vegetarian options, some are just as good as the meat dishes.

Quality and taste of the food was phenomenal. The meat was cooked exactly as it should have been. The prices also seem to match and are just about right, given the good service, food and wine.

Rudest staff. I walk in and want to eat the Sunday brunch but they tell me it is reserved until December. I see a few tables completely empty but they say they have no room. I am sure the food is as good as the service. Worst I have ever had. I will not eat there now. I also am a more affluent restaurant customer than any of the people that dine there. I was more than disappointed. I am angry about my experience.

Easily one of the best Sunday Brunches I’ve ever been to. I didn’t have a reservation, so I had to sit outside, on the patio. It meant going up and down the stairs for food. It was such a beautiful day, the patio was relaxing. The food changes about an hour in, from breakfast to lunch. Wear stretchy pants and enjoy the delicious meal.

I've never given 5 star's before. This is the favoite restaurant of my wife and I. Worth every penny.

Lovely stylish French restaurant in Kaiserslautern. Wonderful ambience, serviva and quality. I love this place! I recommend making a reservation since it's a bit small and popular.
